What You’ll Be Doing
• Design, develop, and maintain electrical distribution systems and infrastructure
• Perform system planning, load studies, and outage analysis to improve service reliability
• Lead engineering projects from concept through construction, including cost estimating and materials selection
• Collaborate with operations, field crews, and stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues
• Assist with regulatory compliance, safety standards, and documentation
• Recommend and implement solutions to optimize energy delivery and support renewable integration
• Provide support for SCADA systems, AMI, and emerging smart grid technologies
• Contribute to long-term system improvement plans and capital projects

What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems emphasis preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in utility or power distribution engineering
• Strong understanding of NESC, NEC, and rural electric utility standards
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS, and distribution analysis software (e.g., Milsoft, CYME, WindMil)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
• PE license preferred, or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
