The Opportunity
Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Authority to join its Data Center Commissioning Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a global leader in the construction and engineering space while gaining hands-on exposure to mission-critical projects across multiple sectors.

🔹 Your Impact

Commissioning ensures that building systems are installed and operate as intended, improving performance, reliability, and energy efficiency. In this role, you’ll split time between office and field environments, performing functional testing and leading commissioning processes for complex data center electrical systems.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the commissioning process for assigned projects.
  • Conduct field functional testing of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Develop commissioning plans, checklists, and test procedures.
  • Document results, maintain issue logs, and prepare reports.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, safety protocols, and industry requirements.
  • Support project management activities including scheduling and resource planning.
  • Stay current with industry developments through ongoing professional development.

🔹 Locations & Travel

Open to candidates near U.S. offices including:
California (Irvine, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, Silicon Valley),
Oregon (Portland), Washington (Seattle), Texas (Austin).
✈️ Travel up to 50% to project sites required.

🔹 Required Qualification

  • Bachelor’s (or advanced) degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of industry experience with 2+ years in data center commissioning, construction, or operations.
  • ANSI/ISO accredited commissioning certification (required).
  • Strong technical knowledge of data center electrical systems and instrumentation.
  • Project management skills (schedule, budget, resources).
  • Excellent client-facing communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred:

  • PE license or energy management certifications.
  • Medium voltage/utility commissioning experience.
  • Infrared Thermography certification.
  • QA/QC management experience.
