We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA) with a strong focus on data center projects. This role is responsible for overseeing the commissioning of complex electrical infrastructure in high-performance facilities, ensuring systems operate efficiently and meet design and operational requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commissioning activities for data center electrical systems from preconstruction through project handoff.
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans, including functional performance testing and validation.
  • Conduct inspections, witness system testing, and document results thoroughly.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Troubleshoot commissioning-related issues and drive resolution.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Lead testing of critical electrical equipment such as switchgear, UPS systems, generators, PDUs, RPPs, and grounding systems.
  • Support Integrated Systems Testing (IST) for critical power infrastructure.
  • Coordinate testing with electricians, controls teams, vendors, and operations staff.
  • Track deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience with electrical systems in data centers (design, testing, commissioning).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Commissioning Agent (CxA) certification preferred.
  • Experience with building automation systems and commissioning software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for data center commissioning.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
