Position Overview

The Data Scientist III will drive business impact by leveraging big data and deploying advanced analytical solutions across multiple business functions. This role focuses on developing machine learning and AI models, customer analytics, and pricing strategies to influence marketing initiatives, product decisions, and promotional strategies.

Reporting to the Manager of Analytics, the ideal candidate is a strong collaborator, communicator, and hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership to support critical business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy analytical solutions across business functions such as:
    • Customer acquisition and retention
    • Product development
    • Marketing performance and ROAS optimization
  • Build and evaluate audience targeting models, including look-alike, retargeting, and relevance models.
  • Identify, collect, and manage large structured and unstructured datasets for reporting and analysis.
  • Design and implement machine learning and AI algorithms and collaborate with engineering teams to deploy them into production.
  • Perform data mining, validation, and error analysis to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Translate analytical findings into reports, dashboards, and business recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to convert business needs into hypotheses and experimental designs.
  • Develop customized KPIs and visualizations for business partners.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and relational databases.
  • Proven experience building and deploying advanced analytics solutions in B2C or B2B environments, including:
    • Customer segmentation and targeting
    • Customer lifetime value (LTV) optimization
    • Churn prediction and prevention
    • Marketing attribution and ROAS modeling
  • Strong technical skills:
    • SQL, Python, R, or PySpark
    • Regression and classification techniques (e.g., XGBoost, LightGBM)
    • Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
  • Experience deploying production-grade machine learning models with proper documentation and error handling.
  • Familiarity with modern ML frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or Databricks.
  • Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow.
  • Advanced programming proficiency in Python or R.
