Task Force Talent is seeking Data Scientists for a well-funded Series C technology company focused on solving critical challenges in insider threat detection and supply chain security.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong software engineering–oriented data science skills, rather than those focused primarily on statistical reporting or dashboards. Candidates should expect technical interviews similar to software engineering hiring processes.

The company is profitable, growing rapidly, and currently employs approximately 150+ team members.

Salary Range: $150,000 – $200,000+ (plus equity), depending on experience and location.

Locations:

  • Tysons Corner, Virginia
  • Salt Lake City, Utah

Work Model: Hybrid (typically 3 days per week in office) with flexible hours to support family needs and commuting considerations.

Key Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required (no visa sponsorship available). Candidates must be clearance-eligible, though no active clearance is required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in data science or analytics (5+ years preferred for competitive candidates).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a quantitative field (science, statistics, economics, or similar).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, R, or comparable languages.
  • Experience with large-scale data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Ability to convert complex datasets into actionable insights.
  • Strong project management and prioritization abilities.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Bonus: Foreign language proficiency, particularly languages associated with threat actors.

Interview Process

The hiring process typically includes:

  3. Multiple in-person interviews
