Job Description

A dynamic organization is seeking a skilled Data Science & Analytics Developer to design, develop, and maintain data-driven software solutions that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. This role is ideal for professionals who excel at translating business requirements into secure, maintainable code while working with modern data tools and visualization platforms.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, creative, and highly motivated team player with strong experience in data visualization—particularly using SAS technologies—along with advanced knowledge of Python, SQL, and ETL processes. You will play a key role in building reports, maintaining data pipelines, and delivering insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain current and future SAS data reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions

Create and manage ETL scripts and database programming using Python and SQL

Perform ad hoc reporting and data analysis using databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server

Communicate effectively with project managers and team leads regarding timelines, effort estimates, and risks

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across reporting systems

Work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Adapt to changing requirements while following written specifications and established development standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum 3 years of experience in data science or analytics development

Strong experience with SAS programming, including SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Visual Analytics, and SAS Viya (preferred)

Minimum 3 years of Python development experience

Minimum 3 years of database development and SQL programming experience

Experience with data cleansing, preparation, and visualization processes

Strong knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases

Understanding of object-oriented programming principles

Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell environments

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong time management and ability to handle multiple deadlines

Additional Requirements

Local metro-area candidates preferred

U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization required

Onsite work from day one (initial interview may be virtual; final interview in person)
