Role Summary

The Data Center Technician I is responsible for maintaining strict cleanliness standards within controlled data center environments. This role focuses on micro-cleaning surfaces, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure operational reliability and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed cleaning operations following strict data center guidelines.
  • Micro-clean ceilings, walls, floors, and equipment in critical environments.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Scope of Work (SOW) documentation precisely.
  • Identify cleaning deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to safety, technical skills, and performance improvement.
  • Assist with cross-training other team members.
  • Maintain documentation and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • 1 year of related experience or equivalent training (preferred).
  • Ability to learn SOPs, chemical safety, and cleaning protocols.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Must pass background check and employment verification (I-9).

Physical Requirements

  • Standing, walking, climbing, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Use of hands for handling equipment and cleaning tools.
  • Lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work in loud or industrial environments.
