Position: Data Center Technician
Experience: 4–6 years
Location: Afton, Texas (USA)
Type: On-site hardware & infrastructure support
Main goal:
Keep servers and data center equipment running without downtime.

Hardware & Infrastructure
- Install servers, racks, switches
- Replace faulty components (RAM, disks, PSU, NICs)
- Rack & stack equipment
- Firmware upgrades
- Diagnostics and testing
This role heavily involves Dell enterprise servers support.
Operations & Monitoring
- Monitor performance and alerts
- Preventive maintenance
- Backup verification
- Network maintenance tasks
- User account management basics
Facilities Awareness
Unlike pure IT roles, you also touch:
- HVAC monitoring
- Power systems
- Disaster recovery procedures
That means exposure to data center facilities engineering.
Dell Support Coordination
Important part:
- Work with Dell L3 engineers
