🧾 Role Summary

Position: Data Center Technician
Experience: 4–6 years
Location: Afton, Texas (USA)
Type: On-site hardware & infrastructure support

Main goal:

Keep servers and data center equipment running without downtime.

🛠️ Core Responsibilities

Hardware & Infrastructure

  • Install servers, racks, switches
  • Replace faulty components (RAM, disks, PSU, NICs)
  • Rack & stack equipment
  • Firmware upgrades
  • Diagnostics and testing

This role heavily involves Dell enterprise servers support.

Operations & Monitoring

  • Monitor performance and alerts
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Backup verification
  • Network maintenance tasks
  • User account management basics

Facilities Awareness

Unlike pure IT roles, you also touch:

  • HVAC monitoring
  • Power systems
  • Disaster recovery procedures

That means exposure to data center facilities engineering.

Dell Support Coordination
