Position: Data Center Operations Manager with Secret Clearance

As a Prime Government Contractor for the United States Department of the Treasury, CALNET is seeking a skilled Data Center Operations Manager located in Washington, DC with an active Secret Clearance.

About the Role

In this position, you will provide IT Infrastructure Operations Support Services (IOSS) for the Treasury Secure Data Network (TSDN) environment. You will oversee mission-critical data center operations, ensuring system availability, performance, and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) across both on-premises and cloud environments.

The role requires 24/7 operational readiness, including the ability to respond onsite within defined SLAs or remotely for third-party Cloud Service Provider (CSP) services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily stand-up briefings and status reports (SITREP) to government stakeholders
  • Submit weekly Desk-Side Services reports with performance metrics and SLA analysis
  • Prepare monthly Data Center Operations reports and quarterly performance reviews
  • Produce ad hoc reports as requested by Treasury management or the COR
  • Manage provisioning and day-to-day administration of systems and software environments
  • Oversee server platforms, databases, application servers, operating systems, and IP-based networks
  • Lead data center contract staff, including staffing, training, escalation management, and shift planning
  • Ensure operational readiness for business continuity and disaster recovery scenarios
  • Collaborate with O&M teams for troubleshooting and infrastructure optimization

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret Security Clearance
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience managing data center operations on government contracts
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and systems administration
  • Experience with IT security, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning
  • Leadership skills with both engineering and administrative expertise
