NTT DATA is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Mahwah, New Jersey. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will provide leadership and technical direction to the Facility Mechanical Department, ensuring operational excellence while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and development support to the Facility Mechanical team to meet production and performance goals.
  • Oversee maintenance operations, tooling, and plant facilities within assigned areas.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate mechanical and electrical maintenance activities, including staffing and training.
  • Interpret and utilize manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical plans.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to local codes and operational procedures.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent education and experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, refrigeration, and commercial mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of HVAC wiring diagrams, controls, and sequences of operation.
  • Familiarity with centrifugal systems and commercial plumbing (preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Universal EPA Certification (preferred).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience, skills, and location).
