NTT DATA is seeking a skilled Data Center Mechanical Engineer to support facility operations at a client site in Mahwah, NJ. This role focuses on leading mechanical maintenance activities, particularly HVAC and facility systems, while ensuring compliance with company safety and quality standards. The position is ideal for professionals with strong mechanical engineering or HVAC experience looking to grow within a global technology organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and development for the Facility Mechanical Department.
• Oversee maintenance operations, tooling, and plant facilities performance.
• Coordinate and manage mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
• Promote and enforce company quality, safety, and operational standards.
• Support staffing, training, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure proper functioning of HVAC, refrigeration, and related facility systems.

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with commercial HVAC systems (centrifugal systems preferred).
• Knowledge of HVAC wiring diagrams, controls, and sequence of operations.
• Familiarity with plumbing systems and local building codes.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and mechanical plans.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
• Universal EPA Certification.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication, organization, and conflict-management skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience and location).
