Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Engineer to support on-site operations and infrastructure maintenance within a mission-critical environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and data center operations, along with strong knowledge of IT service management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site “Hands and Feet” support services requiring physical presence at customer locations.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment, servers, and security devices.
  • Perform rack and stack operations, equipment labeling, and cable management activities.
  • Connect, test, and organize network and fiber optic cabling to ensure proper connectivity.
  • Replace faulty components such as hard drives, power supplies, and network interface cards.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting including power cycling, checking physical connections, and verifying device status indicators.
  • Install, remove, and upgrade infrastructure equipment including servers, switches, routers, and security devices.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, track serial numbers, and manage spare parts.
  • Perform on-site diagnostics to verify power, cooling, and network connectivity.
  • Support asset management and documentation processes.

Essential Skills

  • Strong experience with MS SQL Server environments.
  • Hands-on expertise in data center hardware and networking equipment.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure support and incident management processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues efficiently.
  • Experience working in customer-facing or managed services environments.

Desirable Skills

  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
  • ITIL certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of data center technologies and infrastructure operations.
  • Awareness of security risks and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Profile

  • 6–8 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
