Internship Overview
From a data solutions perspective, this internship focuses on developing scalable analytical methods to evaluate reliability impacts with automation, particularly when working with limited datasets.
The goal is to strengthen actuarial modeling capabilities within existing infrastructure and enhance forecasting technologies used across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop data solutions to characterize reliability impacts using limited data.
- Apply actuarial and statistical methods to model tail risk distributions.
- Leverage internal data capabilities to create scalable analytical tools.
- Translate engineering reliability problems into actuarial frameworks.
- Recommend infrastructure improvements to enhance model accuracy.
- Present findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders at the end of the internship.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong understanding of actuarial concepts, probability, or reliability analysis.
- Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- Programming skills in Python, SQL, or R.
- Experience with tools such as Power BI, AWS, SQL, or equivalent platforms.
- Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure and applied modeling techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Data Science with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or vice versa).
- Understanding of both engineering systems and advanced analytics approaches.
- Experience applying machine learning to reliability or forecasting problems.
