Job Summary

Progressive Technology is hiring YouTube Video Moderators to join our digital content team. This fully remote, fresher-friendly role is perfect for students and recent graduates passionate about online video content and community safety. You will monitor, review, and flag YouTube videos and comments to ensure compliance with platform policies, helping maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for global audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and moderate YouTube videos for guideline compliance.
  • Identify and flag inappropriate, misleading, or harmful content.
  • Monitor comments for spam, abuse, or toxic behavior.
  • Make timely and accurate moderation decisions.
  • Report trends, escalate borderline content, and provide daily summaries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve moderation practices.
  • Stay updated on YouTube’s evolving community guidelines and policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and good judgment skills.
  • Basic understanding of YouTube and other social platforms.
  • Good written English communication skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed guidelines and moderation protocols.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Basic computer literacy (Google Docs, Excel, Email, etc.)

Experience

  • Freshers and final-year students are welcome.
  • Internship or volunteer experience in content moderation, digital media, or community management is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Flexible shifts: Morning, Afternoon, or Evening.
  • Minimum commitment: 4–6 hours per day, Monday to Saturday.
  • Weekend-only options available for students.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Familiarity with YouTube Community Guidelines.
  • Ability to make fair and unbiased moderation decisions.
  • Comfort handling sensitive or graphic content per platform protocols.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of content consistently.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
