Project Overview

We are seeking a skilled WordPress developer to build and manage local directory sites within a WordPress multi-site setup. The core requirement is to integrate external data, specifically from Airtable, to populate these directories automatically.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in WordPress development, multi-site architecture, and database integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage a WordPress multi-site environment
  • Create local directory sites that are responsive and easy to navigate
  • Integrate and synchronize data from Airtable or similar databases
  • Implement search and filtering functionality within directories
  • Ensure scalable and maintainable architecture for multiple sites
  • Troubleshoot and optimize site performance

Required Skills

  • Strong WordPress development experience, including themes and plugins
  • Experience with multi-site WordPress setups
  • Knowledge of Airtable API integration and other database connections
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and data synchronization
  • Attention to performance, security, and responsive design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building directory-style websites
  • Familiarity with custom post types, custom fields, and advanced WordPress queries
  • Proven track record of delivering multi-site projects with dynamic content
