📌 Overview

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer with strong front-end and back-end expertise to build high-quality, scalable, and performance-driven websites using WordPress and WooCommerce. The ideal candidate should be comfortable developing custom themes from scratch and working collaboratively within a team environment.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

🖥️ Development & Technical Work

  • Develop, program, and maintain data-driven websites and web applications using WordPress and WooCommerce
  • Build custom WordPress themes from scratch (no pre-built themes)
  • Develop custom WooCommerce themes and functionality
  • Translate design files (PSDs, Figma, etc.) into responsive, pixel-perfect websites
  • Implement front-end optimization techniques for performance
  • Ensure websites follow accessibility and security best practices
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues across devices and browsers
  • Contribute to internal company projects and improvements

🤝 Collaboration & Project Management

  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers
  • Consult with clients when required
  • Manage time effectively across multiple projects and deadlines
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards
  • Follow and contribute to internal development standards
  • Stay updated with the latest web development trends

🔹 Required Qualifications & Skills

🎨 Frontend Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, XHTML, XML
  • Proficiency in CSS3, SASS
  • Excellent command of JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX
  • Expertise in responsive design (without heavy framework dependency)
  • Strong visual design understanding
  • Front-end performance optimization knowledge
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Understanding of usability & UX principles (preferred)

⚙️ Backend Skills

  • Strong experience in custom WordPress theme development
  • WooCommerce theme customization expertise
  • Experience with plugins such as:
    • Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
    • Gravity Forms
    • The Events Calendar
    • s2Member
    • BuddyPress
  • Custom plugin development (plus point)
  • Deep understanding of custom post types & taxonomies
  • Working knowledge of PHP & MySQL
  • Understanding of security best practices
  • Familiarity with Linux command-line tools (plus)
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (plus)
  • Open-source contribution experience (plus)
