We are looking for a motivated WordPress PHP Developer Intern to join our development team. This internship is ideal for students and fresh graduates who want to gain hands-on experience in WordPress development, including theme customization, plugin development, and backend programming with PHP.

During this internship, you will work on real-world projects, helping to build, optimize, and maintain WordPress websites while learning modern development practices and industry standards.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress themes and plugins
  • Write clean, structured, and efficient PHP code
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize WordPress websites for performance and security
  • Collaborate with designers and frontend developers to implement custom features
  • Work with REST APIs and third-party integrations
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
  • Document development processes, architecture, and coding standards

🛠️ Must-Have Skills

  • Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, and WordPress Core
  • Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Familiarity with custom post types, taxonomies, and WordPress hooks
  • Experience with Git or version control systems
  • Basic understanding of website optimization and security
  • Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork ability

  • Experience with WooCommerce customization

  • Basic Linux server administration knowledge

🎓 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (completed or pursuing)
  • 0–1 year experience in WordPress development
  • Portfolio or personal projects showcasing WordPress & PHP skills (a plus)
