📝 Internship Overview

We are looking for a WordPress PHP Developer Intern to join our development team. This internship is ideal for candidates who want hands-on experience in WordPress theme and plugin development while working with PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.

You will assist in building, optimizing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites and applications, while learning industry best practices through real-world projects and mentorship.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and customizing WordPress themes and plugins
  • Write clean, structured, and efficient PHP code
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize WordPress websites for performance and security
  • Collaborate with designers and frontend developers to integrate custom features
  • Work with REST APIs and third-party integrations
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
  • Document development processes, architecture, and coding standards

🛠 Must-Have Skills

  • Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, and WordPress Core
  • Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Familiarity with Custom Post Types, Taxonomies, and WordPress Hooks
  • Experience with Git or version control systems
  • Basic understanding of website optimization and security
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team

⭐ Optional / Good-to-Have Skills

  • WooCommerce customization experience
  • Knowledge of page builders like Elementor or Gutenberg
  • Basic Linux server administration
  • Exposure to React or Vue.js (Headless WordPress)

🎓 Qualifications

Portfolio or personal projects showcasing WordPress & PHP skills (plus point)

Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Computer Science / IT / Related Field

0–1 year of experience in WordPress development
