About Lief

Lief is a rapidly growing UK-based social-care SaaS startup transforming a traditionally paper-centric industry through technology. Our software helps residential care homes track, analyse, and improve the care provided to resident children — saving users an average of 10 hours per week.

We are a fully remote and distributed team since inception, with offices in London and Bangalore. Our mission is to build socially impactful products while fostering a strong, collaborative engineering culture.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: ReactJS, Next.js
  • Backend: NodeJS, GraphQL
  • Database: Prisma, PostgreSQL

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Improve and enhance the Lief SaaS web application ecosystem.
  • Develop new user-facing features for a diverse user base.
  • Create scalable frontend components optimized for performance across devices and browsers using ReactJS & Next.js.
  • Build custom APIs using NodeJS, GraphQL, Prisma, and PostgreSQL.
  • Collaborate closely with co-founders, users, developers, and designers.
  • Analyse and determine the best tools, packages, and tech stacks for new solutions.
  • Contribute to building technology that creates real social impact.

What We’re Looking For

  • Final-year students or recent graduates.
  • Availability to commit full-time (8 hours/day).
  • Education or training in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Hands-on software development experience with modern web technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Good understanding of the web ecosystem, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.

Good to Have

  • Experience in UI/UX design and accessible web applications.
  • Published or deployed original web application(s).
