Role Overview

Appclick is seeking a self-driven Web Developer with strong WordPress/PHP skills to join our fully remote team. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing custom WordPress sites for our clients, performing code reviews, and collaborating with agencies and contractors.

This is an ideal opportunity for early-career developers who are meticulous, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a fast-paced web development environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build custom WordPress websites hosted on platforms like WPEngine
  • Conduct code reviews for existing WordPress sites
  • Migrate partner sites to optimal hosting platforms
  • Write WordPress themes from scratch following Theme Development Standards
  • Troubleshoot and maintain previously-launched partner sites
  • Collaborate with agencies and contractors on development projects
  • Participate in partner calls and provide excellent client communication
  • Use collaboration tools like Slack, Asana, Zoom for teamwork
  • Understand Open Source licenses and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • WordPress/PHP proficiency
  • Familiarity with Underscore and boilerplate frameworks
  • Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and implement new site features
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

Good to Have

  • Experience with Thrive or Elementor
  • Knowledge of ActiveCampaign, Aweber
  • Experience working with LearnDash
  • Ability to handle tight timelines and high-quality standards
