About the Role

OQ Point LLC is seeking an experienced React Web Developer to build and maintain modern, high-performance, and user-centric web applications. The ideal candidate has strong JavaScript fundamentals, experience with component-based frameworks, and a passion for delivering scalable, maintainable code.

This is a fully remote position based in Columbus, OH, allowing you to collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant web applications using React, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Integrate with backend teams to consume RESTful APIs and dynamic content feeds.
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to implement user-centric features and iterate based on analytics and feedback.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions to ensure scalable and maintainable codebases.
  • Help define and promote best practices in modern web development, including component-driven architecture, performance optimization, SEO, and accessibility.
  • Contribute to migrating legacy codebases into modular, modern web stacks.
  • Integrate and work with 3rd party SDKs such as RudderStack and LaunchDarkly.
  • Be willing to learn and contribute to a Svelte-based ecosystem if not already experienced.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience building modern web applications.
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with React, Svelte, Vue, or other component-based frameworks.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization techniques (Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, etc.).
  • Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Comfortable working in Agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with component-driven development and modern web tooling.
  • Familiarity with analytics-driven iteration and user feedback integration.
  • Understanding of SEO and accessibility best practices.
