Role Overview
As a Web Developer, you’ll design, develop, and maintain modern WordPress websites, including custom themes and plugins. Your work will directly impact client success by delivering fast, secure, and user-friendly web experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress websites, themes, and plugins using PHP
- Convert Figma or Adobe XD designs into responsive, accessible websites
- Collaborate with UX, design, and content teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Troubleshoot layout issues, plugin conflicts, and performance problems
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services
- Apply best practices for website performance, security, and SEO
- Optimize websites for speed, responsiveness, and scalability
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of professional WordPress development experience (agency experience preferred)
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in PHP
- Experience building custom WordPress plugins and themes
- Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows
- Strong attention to design, typography, and responsive layout principles
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WooCommerce and custom API integrations
- Familiarity with REST APIs, OAuth, and AJAX functionality
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Experience optimizing WordPress performance
- Experience with page builders such as Elementor or Oxygen
- Understanding of SEO, analytics, and structured data
- Familiarity with Composer, NPM, or dependency management tools
- Degree or certifications in Web Development, Computer Science, UX/UI, or related field
