About the Role

We are looking for a full-time Web Developer to maintain, update, and enhance our WordPress/WooCommerce multi-vendor marketplace. As a startup, the role also involves supporting operations, sales, and vendor management, making it a diverse and dynamic opportunity for freshers to gain hands-on experience.

Technical Stack

  • WordPress & WooCommerce: Core, plugins, themes, marketplace add-ons (Mass Upload, RFQ, Multi-Currency, Tier-Based Pricing)
  • Server & Hosting: VPS management (SSH, control panel), PHP/MySQL, SSL, backups
  • Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design
  • Custom Development: Plugin development, hooks, filters, APIs, debugging third-party plugins
  • Integrations: Payments, shipping flows, caching, SEO, performance & security

Key Responsibilities

Website & Development

  • Maintain and update WordPress core, plugins, themes, and WooCommerce functionality
  • Develop, extend, and debug custom plugins
  • Support multi-vendor marketplace: vendor dashboards, commissions, registration
  • Customize themes, layouts, and responsive design
  • Implement features such as Quick Order, product comparison, image search, order tracking
  • Monitor server uptime, backups, SSL, and general health

Operations & Sales Support (Startup Role)

  • Outbound cold calling to leads, prospects, and suppliers
  • Uploading products via bulk CSV and manual entry
  • Verify supplier/vendor information and documents
  • Review and validate supplier profiles, company details, and product listings
  • Provide inbound support for sales team: enquiries, follow-ups, and customer/vendor calls

Documentation

  • Maintain clear documentation for customizations, integrations, and ongoing support

Requirements

  • No formal technical degree required
  • Verifiable work experience via portfolio, GitHub, live websites, or freelance projects
  • Basic understanding of WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Willingness to work in a startup environment and take ownership across technical and operational tasks
