About the Role

Malvern Panalytical is seeking a Web Developer with a focus on Quality & Testing. You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and usability of our web platforms. This is a varied, collaborative position ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and contributing across multiple stages of the web development lifecycle.

You will work closely with colleagues to enhance automated testing, support front-end development, and continuously improve the stability and user experience of our web solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and extend automated UI test suites for corporate websites using Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools.
  • Execute regression testing to support releases, content updates, and ongoing site stability.
  • Validate web forms, analytics tracking, and third-party integrations.
  • Identify, document, and escalate defects while diagnosing root causes.
  • Support front-end development tasks with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and coverage.
  • Extend test coverage across usability, accessibility, and performance within agreed scope.
  • Participate in release readiness activities, including testing within CI/CD pipelines.

About You

  • Education or equivalent practical experience in web development, software testing, or related discipline.
  • Experience with web technologies and automated testing tools in professional or production environments.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to diagnose front-end issues.
  • Experience maintaining, extending, or contributing to automated test suites.
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and methodical approach to testing and validation.
  • Clear written communication skills for documenting defects, risks, and testing outcomes.
  • Understanding of usability and accessibility principles.
