🔑 Role Overview
The Web Developer Contractor will lead the redesign and redevelopment of AuditBoard’s Help Center, focusing on user experience, responsiveness, scalability, and maintainability. This is a project-based remote role for 3–6 months.
You will work closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into a technical and design plan, develop the new Help Center on Zendesk Guide, and ensure a smooth handover to the internal team.
🛠 Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end redesign and development of the Help Center.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications and design plans.
- Build a responsive, mobile-friendly interface within the Zendesk platform.
- Integrate the Help Center with the existing knowledge base platform.
- Ensure the site is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for speed and SEO.
- Conduct testing and quality assurance for a bug-free user experience.
- Document technical architecture for internal team handover.
✅ Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional web development experience.
- Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Demonstrable experience customizing and building themes in Zendesk Guide.
- Familiarity with Zendesk curlybars and its coding structure.
- Strong user-centered design skills with an eye for aesthetics.
- Experience with API integration.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and independent working abilities.
- Strong communication skills.
