🔑 Role Overview

The Web Developer Contractor will lead the redesign and redevelopment of AuditBoard’s Help Center, focusing on user experience, responsiveness, scalability, and maintainability. This is a project-based remote role for 3–6 months.

You will work closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into a technical and design plan, develop the new Help Center on Zendesk Guide, and ensure a smooth handover to the internal team.

🛠 Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end redesign and development of the Help Center.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications and design plans.
  • Build a responsive, mobile-friendly interface within the Zendesk platform.
  • Integrate the Help Center with the existing knowledge base platform.
  • Ensure the site is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for speed and SEO.
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance for a bug-free user experience.
  • Document technical architecture for internal team handover.

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional web development experience.
  • Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Demonstrable experience customizing and building themes in Zendesk Guide.
  • Familiarity with Zendesk curlybars and its coding structure.
  • Strong user-centered design skills with an eye for aesthetics.
  • Experience with API integration.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving and independent working abilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
