Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Vice President – Data Scientist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in driving data-driven strategies, improving decision-making, and delivering advanced analytics solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing strategic direction and technical guidance.
  • Design, develop, and implement advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling solutions to support business objectives.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define project priorities and ensure successful execution.
  • Oversee data quality, integrity, and governance standards across analytics initiatives.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay current with emerging data science technologies, tools, and industry trends to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a related role.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful analytics or machine learning projects in a business environment.
  • Strong expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services, banking, or capital markets.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale analytics initiatives and managing stakeholder expectations at the executive level.
