Job Title: Graphic Designer (UI-Focused)
Location: Remote
Hours/Schedule: Approximately 35 hours/week
Compensation: $30-33/hour DOQ
Type: Contract

Overview

The Graphic Designer creates visual content for print and digital media, with a strong focus on digital UI design and execution. This role translates brand guidelines into high-quality design deliverables, supports product teams through UI design and handoff, and ensures consistency, usability, and visual excellence across platforms.

Responsibilities
• Design layouts, graphics, illustrations, and visual assets for print and digital media, including logos, packaging, advertising, websites, and marketing collateral.
• Translate brand guidelines into cohesive digital and UI design executions.
• Create UI design deliverables such as mockups, clickable prototypes, design systems, and development-ready assets.
• Support simple animations and visual assets as needed for digital products.
• Ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy across all UI and graphic design deliverables.
• Collaborate with UX/Product Designers to support wireframes, design decisions, and handoff processes.
• Partner with software engineers to facilitate smooth design handoff and UI reviews of implemented code.
• Conduct and apply UI research inputs such as competitive analysis, A/B testing considerations, and accessibility standards.
• Select and arrange artwork, define color palettes, typography, and visual concepts.
• Perform press checks and support print production quality as required.
• Communicate design concepts effectively with creative partners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to improving UI design processes and establishing consistent design practices.

Qualifications
• Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience creating designs for both print and digital platforms.
• Intermediate UI design skills with working knowledge of UI principles and best practices.
• Experience delivering UI assets, including mockups, prototypes, and development handoff materials.
• Familiarity with UI research methods such as competitive analysis, A/B testing, and accessibility considerations.
• Knowledge of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
• Ability to interpret and apply brand guidelines consistently.
• Experience collaborating with UX designers, developers, and creative team members.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
