Salary: $60,000 – $85,000 annually (based on experience and preferred workweek)
About the Role
DevCollaborative is seeking a Technical Project Manager with experience in agency settings and a technical understanding of Drupal or WordPress website development. This fully remote role focuses on managing nonprofit web projects, balancing budgets, schedules, and scope while ensuring high-quality deliverables. You will collaborate with designers, developers, content strategists, project managers, and clients to deliver projects that have meaningful social impact.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management (Drupal & WordPress):
- Serve as the main internal and external client-facing contact throughout project lifecycles.
- Translate project requirements into technical features and prioritize functionality.
- Manage projects to agreed scope, schedule, and budget (SOW-based).
- Set priorities, organize tasks, and keep teams moving forward.
- Review staff time entries and progress against budget, schedule, and capacity.
- Produce project documentation: scopes of work, plans, agendas, meeting notes, testing plans, and launch plans.
- Assist with website testing and manage client feedback.
Helpdesk Management:
- Monitor and triage incoming Helpdesk requests.
- Evaluate bugs, perform first-level troubleshooting, and test fixes.
- Coordinate launch and ensure client satisfaction with resolution.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration:
- Contribute to improving internal workflows and processes.
- Support sales proposals, marketing efforts, contracting, and internal process improvements.
Qualifications / Must-Haves
- Experience managing multiple CMS-based website projects, preferably Drupal and/or WordPress.
- Previous experience in a web agency or consultancy environment.
- Deep understanding of budget-schedule-scope PM triangle.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in a remote environment (Zoom, Slack, email).
- Skilled in project tools: Asana, Instagantt, Harvest, Excel/Google Sheets.
- Self-directed and able to manage your own time in a 100% remote environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under deadlines.
- Professional, collaborative, proactive, and always-learning mindset.
- Desire for healthy work/life balance (30–35 hour work week).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working with nonprofit clients.
- Experience managing Helpdesk/customer support.
- Web accessibility knowledge, UX & usability understanding.
- Sitebuilding capabilities in Drupal/WordPress.
