About the Role:
We are seeking a mission-driven and data-savvy Sustainability Data Analyst to support our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals through high-quality data analysis and reporting. This role plays a critical part in tracking and measuring sustainability performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping communicate our impact transparently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and analyze sustainability-related data, including carbon footprint, energy use, water consumption, waste reduction, and social impact metrics
- Build dashboards and reports to visualize ESG performance against internal goals and external frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP, SASB, TCFD, or SDGs)
- Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, facilities, supply chain, HR, legal) to gather and validate ESG data across the organization
- Support the preparation of annual sustainability/impact reports and disclosures for investors and stakeholders
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to sustainability initiatives and regulatory compliance
- Assist in developing strategies to improve performance in areas such as emissions reduction, energy efficiency, and responsible sourcing
- Maintain documentation of methodologies, assumptions, and data sources to ensure transparency and auditability
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in sustainability reporting, ESG analytics, or related data analysis role
- Proficiency in Excel and SQL; experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and sustainability performance metrics
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with lifecycle assessments (LCA), carbon accounting, or supply chain sustainability tools
- Knowledge of regulatory standards such as CSRD, SEC climate disclosure rules, or Scope 1–3 emissions
- Exposure to sustainability platforms or software (e.g., EcoVadis, Sphera, Watershed, Persefoni, Salesforce Net Zero Cloud)
- Certification or training in ESG, GRI, or environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001)
