About the Role:
We are seeking a highly accomplished and hands-on Staff Data Scientist to join our data science and analytics team. As a technical expert and strategic thinker, you will lead complex, high-impact initiatives that shape product direction, influence business decisions, and drive innovation. You’ll partner with engineering, product, and business leaders while mentoring other scientists across the team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of algorithm design, product strategy, and scalable implementation—helping build the intelligence behind data-powered experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, prototype, and productionize advanced machine learning and statistical models to solve core business challenges (e.g., personalization, demand forecasting, optimization, risk scoring)
  • Translate ambiguous problems into well-defined analytical solutions, driving experimentation and decision-making
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives, set modeling standards, and define the data science roadmap in collaboration with leadership
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to integrate intelligent features into products
  • Review code, experiments, and model architectures from other scientists and engineers, raising the technical bar
  • Mentor data scientists and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies in AI/ML, and champion responsible and ethical data science practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied research roles, with a proven record of innovation and delivery
  • Deep expertise in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy, TensorFlow or PyTorch), SQL, and data manipulation at scale
  • Strong background in algorithm development, statistical modeling, A/B testing, and experiment design
  • Experience deploying ML models to production and working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and storytelling skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in fast-paced industries such as e-commerce, fintech, SaaS, logistics, or media
  • Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices (MLflow, Airflow, Docker, model monitoring)
  • Experience with large-scale data platforms (Spark, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
  • Contributions to academic research, patents, or open-source projects

What We Offer:

  • A high-impact role with influence on company-wide AI and data initiatives
  • Competitive compensation and long-term equity incentives
  • Flexible work options and a modern, collaborative work environment
  • A team of talented, mission-driven peers focused on innovation and excellence
  • Access to cutting-edge tools, infrastructure, and continuous learning opportunities
