Develop and maintain highly available and scalable systems for PayPal’s financial transactions.
Utilize SRE principles to enhance the reliability and performance of our systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot any issues with our systems.
Continuously monitor and improve system performance and availability.
Ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in SRE and software engineering.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
Design and implement automation tools and processes to streamline operations.
Proactively identify potential risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress.
Mentor and coach junior engineers to improve their skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with product development teams to incorporate new features and enhancements into existing systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve any production incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
Contribute to the development of disaster recovery plans and participate in disaster recovery exercises.
