Salary: $145,900 – $239,000 USD annually

About the Role

The Global Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Central Team is seeking a Sr. Technical Solutions Manager to lead customer success and technical programs across Amazon Robotics and the broader Amazon Technologies Portfolio (ATP).

You will drive lifecycle management, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives for advanced robotics, mechatronics, and automation systems globally. This role involves scaling frameworks, developing Subject Matter Expert communities, and delivering measurable improvements in equipment performance, availability, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead customer success management for ATP’s Amazon Robotics systems portfolio globally, improving performance, availability, and quality.
  • Serve as STL/informal leader for Customer Solutions Managers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and career development.
  • Own and scale the SME Development program across ATP, coordinating certified expert communities and driving adoption of Scenario-Based Troubleshooting approaches.
  • Define and execute strategy for expanding the Customer Solutions Manager model to Pack Automation, Sortation, Specialty Automation, and Robotic Work Cells.
  • Manage lifecycle of complex transformation programs for AR systems, driving measurable impact on TCPA reduction, MTBF, and MTTR.
  • Partner with Controls Engineering and Global Reporting & Standards to establish consistent OEE, MTBF, and MTTR metrics.
  • Present complex technical decisions and solutions to Senior Managers, Directors, and VPs.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years leading large-scale technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, and successful program completion.
  • 2+ years customer-facing experience engaging executives, technologists, or partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Business, or equivalent.
  • Experience leading technical and non-technical transformation teams across broad functions.
  • Expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies: 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA, RCCA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Amazon Robotics systems (Drive Units, AR Floor/Fiducials, ARSAW/ARSTOW, TASRS systems, Vulcan, Sparrow).
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering and directed maintenance approaches (FMEA, RCCA, iAlert, Usage-Based Maintenance, Condition-Based Monitoring).
  • Familiarity with TCPA, OEE, MTBF, MTTR metrics and application to maintenance optimization.
  • Ability to lead complex initiatives end-to-end, demonstrating ownership across the full lifecycle.
