The Senior Structural Engineer (Data Centers) role sits within the Advanced Manufacturing team and focuses on structural engineering design and analysis for data center facilities, including new construction, retrofits, and colocation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations for data center projects.
- Develop structural computer models and perform foundation and member design calculations.
- Prepare material take-offs, schedules, and supporting technical documentation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and global offices for project delivery.
- Support project execution across various capital project sizes.
- Travel to client sites as needed (approximately 10–20%).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license with ability to obtain additional state registrations.
- Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or S3D.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (RISA, STAAD, or similar).
- Knowledge of structural design codes and standards including:
- ACI
- AISC
- ASCE 7
- AIST Technical Report 13
- Understanding of building codes and industry standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience with heavy industrial or metals projects (casting, rolling, etc.).
- Leadership experience managing teams, budgets, and schedules.
