Position Overview

We are seeking a Sr. FinOps Analyst with expertise in lease abstraction to join our Finance Operations team. This role focuses on performing detailed lease document abstraction, ensuring data accuracy, and driving process efficiency initiatives within lease abstraction operations. The ideal candidate combines technical lease knowledge, analytical skills, and process improvement expertise to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lease Document Abstraction

  • Perform comprehensive abstraction of commercial and retail lease documents.
  • Extract key terms, conditions, rent schedules, renewal options, and special provisions.
  • Ensure precise data entry and documentation following established standards.
  • Manage high-volume lease processing while maintaining strict accuracy.

Quality Control & Review

  • Conduct detailed quality reviews of lease abstractions.
  • Identify discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies in abstracted data.
  • Provide actionable feedback and maintain compliance with client and internal standards.
  • Validate data accuracy against source documents.

Process Improvement & Defect Management

  • Identify recurring defects and process inefficiencies.
  • Develop corrective action plans and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Standardize procedures and collaborate with team members to enhance productivity.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Stay updated on lease accounting standards and industry best practices.
  • Support special projects and operational initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com).
  • Strong understanding of commercial and retail lease structures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating with the team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in lease abstraction or lease administration.
  • Professional certifications in lease administration or real estate.
  • Experience with process automation tools and efficiency initiatives.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean).
