Sr. Data Scientist, Outcomes Research

Join Tempus and help advance precision medicine through cutting-edge AI and real-world evidence. We’re seeking a Senior Data Scientist with strong experience in pharmacoepidemiology and clinical research to design and analyze impactful healthcare studies that drive better patient outcomes.

🔹 What You’ll Do
• Collaborate with Pharma, biotech, and academic partners on clinical research projects
• Design, analyze, and interpret real-world studies and outcomes research
• Translate complex research into clinically actionable insights
• Develop reusable code and analytical infrastructure
• Stay current with evolving methodologies in real-world evidence research
• Present findings to internal and external stakeholders

🔹 What We’re Looking For
• Advanced degree (PhD/Master’s) with relevant experience in data science, biostatistics, epidemiology, bioinformatics, or related fields
• Strong programming skills in Python, R or SAS, and SQL
• Experience with large healthcare datasets and statistical modeling
• Ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems with strong communication skills
• Collaborative mindset and passion for healthcare innovation

🔹 Nice to Have
• Oncology, immunology, or molecular biology experience
• Time-to-event analysis or survival modeling expertise
• Experience with clinical trials or real-world data (EHR, claims, registry)
• Regulatory submission or FDA-related experience
• Version control and software testing knowledge

📍 Location: Remote
💰 Salary Range: $100,000 – $175,000 (location dependent) + benefits & incentives
