π About the Role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Enterprise Support is seeking a Senior Cloud Enterprise Technical Manager (Sr. Technical Account Manager β TAM) to support National Security customers.
This is not a sales role. Instead, you will serve as a strategic technical advisor and trusted cloud expert, helping customers maximize value from AWS technologies across mission-critical environments.
You will work closely with senior leadership, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing AWS solutions.
π Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical advisor and βvoice of the customerβ for National Security clients
- Develop and execute cloud adoption strategies across AWS services
- Guide customers on best practices for:
- Compute (EC2)
- Storage (S3)
- Databases (DynamoDB, RDS)
- Serverless (Lambda)
- Containers (ECS/EKS)
- AI/ML (SageMaker)
- Security (GuardDuty, Systems Manager)
- DevOps (CodePipeline)
- IoT and more
- Drive discussions with senior leadership on:
- Incident management
- Risk mitigation
- Architecture trade-offs
- Operational improvements
- Proactively maintain operational health of AWS environments
- Support 24×7 mission-critical cloud operations
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships
π Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical engineering experience in:
- Compute / Storage / Networking / CDN
- Databases / AI/ML
- DevOps / Big Data / Security
- Distributed systems environments
- Bachelorβs Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field
(OR 5 years equivalent experience) - Experience as a technical lead (internal or customer-facing)
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

- 7+ years of engineering experience across multiple cloud domains
- Experience in IT operations or 24×7 support environments
- Strong executive-level communication skills
- Experience with AWS or other Federal/DoD cloud environments
