Sr. Backend Software Engineer (Go / Golang) – Hypergrowth Healthcare Startup
Location: you could either work remotely or in the company’s office in South Shore of Boston, MA
The company is in the elder care space and is helping to improve the quality of care as well as lower the cost.
The company has raised series A funding, and has a massive pipeline of upcoming revenues. It has about 30 employees and is expected to grow to about 100 employees in the next year. So this position is for someone who is interested and able to thrive in a rapidly growing, fast paced startup.
The company will pay up to $200k in salary plus equity which could be lucrative.
Job Responsibilities:
– Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions, building RESTful APIs, and optimizing database designs for performance.
– Using Go and Postgres, you’ll write high-performance code, ensure data integrity, and drive the reliability of server software.
– Crafting interfaces to internal software systems to improve workflow efficiency.
– Writing high-quality Go code that is efficient, scalable, and maintainable.
– Supporting and optimizing Postgres databases for performance and reliability.
– Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
– Developing and implementing creative solutions to complex technical problems.
– Demonstrating ownership and accountability for the quality and reliability of the software.
– Participating in code reviews and contributing to the improvement of the codebase.
– Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
– Expertise with the Go programming language and server software development.
– Proficient with Docker.
– Proficient with Postgres databases.
– Experience building interfaces to other software packages.
– Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
– Strong communication and leadership skills.
– Reliable, persistent and results-oriented.
– High integrity.
– Consistently transparent, courageous and enthusiastic.
