About the Role

Vodworks is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software solutions for one of the world’s largest streaming platforms, serving 1.4 billion users per month. This role involves building both backend and frontend capabilities to support rapid growth and enhance platform functionality.

You will work on full lifecycle software development, ensuring code quality, scalability, and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage the full software development lifecycle.
• Prepare technical specifications and determine operational feasibility.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
• Document and maintain software functionality for team reference.
• Integrate software components into fully functional systems.
• Evaluate, deploy, and recommend software tools, processes, and metrics.
• Provide technical support and guidance on software usage.
• Ensure compliance with project plans and industry coding standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years experience as a Software Engineer or Developer.
• Proven expertise in PHP development for web applications.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as ReactJS is a plus.
• Experience designing interactive applications and applying test-driven development (TDD).
• Strong experience documenting requirements and specifications.
• Knowledge of software engineering tools, methodologies, and release processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
