Job Description

Location: 100% Onsite – CyberPoint

CyberPoint is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 to design, develop, and enhance sophisticated software systems addressing complex technical challenges, including large-scale data processing, advanced algorithms, real-time systems, and integrated business platforms. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, guiding teams, setting direction, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements to define software design and performance specifications.
  • Design, code, and modify software to implement new features or improve performance.
  • Integrate existing software into updated systems and environments.
  • Debug software and resolve defects efficiently.
  • Develop complex algorithms with strict performance or timing constraints.
  • Build applications using C, C++, C#, Java, Python.
  • Develop for Windows and UNIX environments, including scripting and automation.
  • Oversee and coordinate software development teams, ensuring adherence to project standards.
  • Perform quality control and code reviews for team deliverables.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to documentation and software development processes.
  • Design and implement complex database interfaces and data queries.
  • Lead development and execution of test procedures.
  • Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to resolve integration challenges.
  • Utilize DevOps and CI/CD tools: Artifactory, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Jenkins, Bamboo.
  • Coordinate software installations and verify operational readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph (FSP)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
  • Minimum 14 years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity
  • Expertise in at least one major programming language: C, C++, C#, Java, Python
  • Strong experience in Windows and UNIX development
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools and automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience leading and mentoring software development teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver under tight constraints
  • Familiarity with large-scale data systems, advanced algorithms, and performance optimization

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $115,000 – $158,000
