Job Description

The Software Engineer will work at the Texas Rocket Development Facility in Central Texas, as part of the Test Software team. This team designs, develops, tests, and maintains software used for test stand data acquisition and control, data post-processing, and other engineering software needs. The role involves working closely with test engineers, electrical engineers, and information technology teams to deploy high-performance software for test engineering. Responsibilities include architecting and developing software for data acquisition, control, data storage and analysis, automation, and collaboration with various engineering teams. The candidate will support active operations, own all aspects of software development, and provide technical leadership. Basic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 1+ years of software development experience. Preferred skills include experience with National Instruments hardware and software, proficiency in C++, Python, or similar languages, experience managing large distributed systems, and strong communication skills. The position requires working in the office, with flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and shifts. U.S. citizenship or legal authorization is required due to ITAR regulations.
