Job Summary

The Prime Video Mobile Device Extensions team enables customers to use their mobile devices as fully featured remotes at home and to watch Prime Video offline. This includes creating second-screen experiences, controlling playback on TVs, browsing the catalog, and delivering a seamless downloads experience for millions of customers worldwide.

As an SDE on this team, you will design, implement, and maintain features across mobile, TV, and back-end systems while collaborating with product and UX teams to ensure the best possible customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new features from concept to production, including coding, testing, and deployment.
• Review peers’ code and provide constructive technical feedback.
• Break down tasks for team members and collaborate to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Monitor features in production, identify customer issues, and implement fixes.
• Suggest and adopt new technologies to improve the platform and delight customers.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to improving team processes.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or 1+ years of equivalent experience.
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
• Understanding of software development best practices and source control.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
• Experience with front-end, back-end, or full-stack systems in a production environment.
• Familiarity with 24×7 critical systems and operational support.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices: coding standards, code reviews, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Excellent cross-team collaboration skills and passion for teamwork.
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Alignment with Amazon’s Leadership Principles and high technical ownership.
