About the Role

Do you want to work on cutting-edge technology, solve problems that didn’t exist before, and see the impact of your work in real-time? Amazon Prime Video is growing, and we are seeking Software Development Engineers (SDEs) to join our Live Events team.

As an SDE at Amazon, you will work on large-scale, global problems, own your systems end-to-end, and influence technology impacting hundreds of millions of customers worldwide. You will design flexible, scalable solutions using your skills in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

The Prime Video Live Events Team collaborates with Product Managers, UX Designers, Technical Program Managers, and software engineers from other teams to deliver exceptional experiences to our viewers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build flexible solutions to dynamically update customer experiences without requiring app updates.
  • Develop and maintain web services supporting Prime Video mobile apps.
  • Experiment with customer-facing experiences to determine what resonates best.
  • Design and implement features that delight millions of customers globally.
  • Contribute to end-to-end system design and help influence architectural decisions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience contributing to system design or architecture (including design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Programming experience with at least one modern programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience mentoring and influencing engineers on complex technical challenges.
  • Lifelong learner with curiosity about mobile trends, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
