Role Overview

As a Software Engineer II at S&P Global, you will join a dynamic team responsible for designing, architecting, and developing client-facing applications that support daily decision-making in capital and commodities markets. You will collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and contribute to high-impact projects using cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in an Agile software development environment
  • Develop tools and applications with clean, efficient, and high-quality code
  • Engineer components and common services using standard development models, languages, and tools
  • Produce system design documents and actively participate in technical walkthroughs
  • Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical partners
  • Continuously improve software architecture as a contributing team member
  • Create solutions that address key business needs

Qualifications Required

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Experience: 4+ years of relevant full-stack development experience
  • Backend Skills: Node.js or Python server-side programming
  • Frontend Skills: JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React.js, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap
  • Hands-on experience in functional distributed application programming
  • Working knowledge of AWS services
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile and Test-Driven Development
  • Understanding of AI, ML, and latest developments in Generative AI
  • Experience with Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding tools
