Role Overview
As a Software Engineer II at S&P Global, you will join a dynamic team responsible for designing, architecting, and developing client-facing applications that support daily decision-making in capital and commodities markets. You will collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and contribute to high-impact projects using cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in an Agile software development environment
- Develop tools and applications with clean, efficient, and high-quality code
- Engineer components and common services using standard development models, languages, and tools
- Produce system design documents and actively participate in technical walkthroughs
- Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical partners
- Continuously improve software architecture as a contributing team member
- Create solutions that address key business needs
Qualifications Required
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Experience: 4+ years of relevant full-stack development experience
- Backend Skills: Node.js or Python server-side programming
- Frontend Skills: JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React.js, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap
- Hands-on experience in functional distributed application programming
- Working knowledge of AWS services
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile and Test-Driven Development
- Understanding of AI, ML, and latest developments in Generative AI
- Experience with Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding tools
