SEO & Organic Growth Specialist – Healthcare / Autism Services
About ANNA Autism Care
ANNA Autism Care provides compassionate, evidence-based autism services for children and families. Our goal is to help families find the right support quickly and confidently through clear, ethical, and accessible information.
We’re looking for a senior SEO & Organic Growth Specialist to build and scale ANNA’s organic acquisition engine across local markets and broader non-local search demand.
This is not a checklist “SEO tasks” role. We want someone who can own outcomes—from strategy to execution—and drive measurable growth in qualified inquiries.
Role Overview
You will lead ANNA’s SEO strategy across:
Local SEO (Google Business Profile + map pack + location pages)
On-page SEO (service pages, conversion-focused content, internal linking)
Technical SEO (site health, indexing, schema, performance)
Content strategy (topic clusters, parent education, high-intent pages)
Authority building (digital PR, partnerships, link acquisition)
CRO + analytics (turn traffic into calls and form submissions)
This is a remote, freelance role with strong long-term potential.
Key Responsibilities
1) SEO Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
Audit current SEO performance and identify highest-impact opportunities
Build a prioritized roadmap (30/60/90-day plan + ongoing backlog)
Align SEO efforts with ANNA’s services, locations, and lead goals
2) Local SEO (Major Pillar)
Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles across locations
Improve map pack rankings and local visibility for priority services
Build scalable frameworks for location + service pages and service-area coverage
Implement ethical review acquisition and response playbooks
3) On-Page SEO & Information Architecture
Optimize service pages, evaluations pages, and other “money pages”
Improve site structure, internal linking, and topic clustering
Create and optimize FAQs that match real search intent
Ensure content is accessible, empathetic, and conversion-friendly
4) Technical SEO
Diagnose and resolve crawling/indexing issues (Search Console)
Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile experience
Implement schema (LocalBusiness/Organization, FAQ, Medical/Healthcare as appropriate)
Manage redirects, canonicalization, sitemap/robots hygiene, and site migrations (if needed)
5) Content Strategy & Organic Demand Generation
Develop editorial strategy that targets both high-intent and mid-funnel topics
Build content that supports parents and ranks (guides, comparison pages, insurance/process explainers, care pathways)
Refresh and optimize existing content (content pruning + updates + consolidation)
Collaborate with internal team on brand voice and compliance-sensitive messaging
6) Authority Building & Digital PR
Build high-quality backlinks through partnerships, community orgs, and earned media
Execute ethical outreach to relevant websites (healthcare, education, parenting, autism resources)
Support local PR/events/webinars that grow brand demand and links
Build directory strategy beyond basic citations (high-intent referral sources)
7) CRO, Tracking & Reporting (Traffic → Inquiries)
Increase calls and form submissions through landing page optimization
Set up and/or improve conversion tracking (forms, calls, key actions)
Monitor and report on rankings, traffic, leads, conversion rate, and map visibility
Deliver clear monthly reporting with insights + next steps (no vanity-metric-only reports
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience growing organic traffic and leads via SEO
Strong expertise across local SEO + technical SEO + content SEO
Hands-on familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs/Semrush, Screaming Frog (or equivalents)
Ability to operate independently, prioritize, and execute with minimal oversight
Strong written communication and an ethical approach to marketing in healthcare-adjacent spaces
Strongly Preferred
Experience in healthcare, therapy, education, or regulated industries
Multi-location SEO experience
Experience improving conversion rate for service businesses
Understanding of sensitive, family-centered messaging and community trust building
