We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEO Manager to lead and optimize the SEO efforts for Pinkvilla’s website and other potential websites we may launch in the future. This role involves a strategic approach to enhance organic traffic, improve search rankings, and boost the website’s visibility.
Role and Responsibilities
• Lead SEO Efforts: Take complete ownership of SEO activities, including technical SEO, keyword research, competitor monitoring, content updates, and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the tech, product, editorial, and social teams to drive organic traffic growth and improve the brand’s visibility.
• Team Leadership: Manage and build a strong SEO team, overseeing their performance and daily operations.
• Maximize Organic Traffic: Develop and maintain a robust target keyword list while collaborating with the content and social media teams to increase organic traffic.
• Content Strategy: Work with the content team to educate them on the importance of SEO and assist in creating content that drives more organic traffic.
• Content Calendar and Strategy: Collaborate with content leads to create and execute content calendars and strategies that align with SEO goals.
• Link-Building: Lead the link-building efforts, including strategy development and execution.
• Reporting and Analysis: Create and oversee Google Analytics dashboards, reports, and tracking tools, highlighting key areas for improvement in website traffic.
• Competitor Research: Conduct competitor research and analysis, identify gaps, and implement SEO strategies based on findings.
• Stay Updated: Implement the latest SEO best practices and Google algorithm updates, ensuring content is reviewed for optimal SEO scores.
Qualifications and Experience
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in SEO.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree from a reputed institution.
• Proven Track Record: Demonstrable success in driving growth in Data/Product SEO traffic, preferably in a News Media background.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of HTML and CSS to identify optimization opportunities based on code.
• SEO Tools Proficiency: Extensive experience using SEO reporting and analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and ComScore (knowledge of these tools is a plus).
• Leadership: Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Communication: Exceptional communication, presentation, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Time Management: Strong ability to manage time effectively, lead projects, and ensure team accountability.
