🚀 About the Role

Sparkbox is looking for a Senior Web Developer – Design Systems who thrives in collaborative environments and believes great work comes from teamwork with coworkers and clients.

This role blends technical leadership, design system architecture, and client consulting. You won’t just build components — you’ll help define long-term design system strategies and guide clients through sustainable implementation.

🎯 What You’ll Do

  • Consult with clients to assess and improve existing design systems
  • Define strategic roadmaps for scalable design system architecture
  • Lead tactical implementation of component libraries
  • Build reusable system components (React, Web Components)
  • Establish token structures and design pipelines
  • Contribute to documentation, tooling, and governance
  • Help with product roadmaps, estimates, and dependency planning
  • Mentor clients and internal team members
  • Ensure accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA+) and progressive enhancement
  • Explore AI tools and innovative workflows

🧠 Core Technical Requirements

👨‍💻 Experience

  • 5–10 years as a frontend web developer
  • 3–5 years building & maintaining scalable design systems

💻 Technical Skills

  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • React, Svelte, Vue, or Angular
  • Modern CSS
  • Clean, semantic HTML
  • Git / GitHub
  • Automated testing (Unit & E2E)
  • Figma → Code translation
  • Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA+)
  • Progressive Enhancement
  • Design Tokens & Architecture
  • Web Components

  • Netlify or Vercel deployments

💰 Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $95,000 – $120,000 (Remote US)
