Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a Senior SS&C Tradex & SS&C APX Developer to join our team and support the customization, maintenance, and performance optimization of investment operations platforms. These platforms are critical for trading, accounting, portfolio management, reconciliation, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SS&C Tradex and APX, strong Java and SQL skills, and a solid understanding of investment operations workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customize and maintain workflows and features in SS&C Tradex and SS&C APX.
  • Build and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic.
  • Develop Java-based modules/components and integration utilities.
  • Create and consume REST & SOAP APIs/Web Services for integrations with CRM, data warehouses, and trading systems.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis related to investment operations.
  • Collaborate with business users and technical teams to ensure solutions meet operational requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of software development experience, with strong SS&C ecosystem knowledge.
  • Hands-on expertise in SS&C Tradex and SS&C APX (customization, configuration, architecture).
  • Strong SQL skills: complex queries, performance tuning, and data modeling.
  • Solid Java/OOP fundamentals.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations.
  • Understanding of Investment Operations: trade lifecycle, settlements, NAV, corporate actions, reconciliation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ETL/integration tools.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools: SSRS, Crystal Reports, APX reporting.
  • Exposure to multi-asset products.
  • Experience with cloud modernization/migration initiatives.
