Senior Software Engineer/SRE

At Bloomberg, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. We are looking for a self-driven, creative, and dependable individual to help build and maintain our systems. This individual should have a solid understanding of software engineering principles, a strong background in application development, and a passion for improving system reliability and performance. The ideal candidate for this role should have the following qualifications:• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on application development• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, and/or JavaScript• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes• Experience with automation and configuration management technologies such as Ansible• Experience with version control systems such as Git• Experience with systems monitoring and logging tools such as ELK and Splunk• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills• Strong desire to learn and create innovative solutionsIf you are interested in joining a collaborative team with the goal of driving the future of technology, we would love to hear from you.
