🔹 Role Overview

The Senior Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails) will contribute to high-scale SaaS applications, focusing on performance, scalability, reliability, and security. The role involves both backend and full-stack development with opportunities to work across microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud environments.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop internet-scale applications with performance, reliability, scalability, and security as core design goals.
  • Build interactive, intuitive web applications using client-side and REST-based server-side code.
  • Implement Microservices Architecture (MSA), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
  • Collaborate with other engineers to design and deliver complex SaaS applications.
  • Work with multiple database technologies including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize applications in a fast-paced, agile environment.

🔹 Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–7 years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Ruby on Rails, Python, or Node.js.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and MVC frameworks.
  • Experience contributing to architecture and design, including Design Patterns and non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, reliability, security).
  • Familiarity with queuing technologies: RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS SQS.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in agile, fast-paced environments.

🔹 Preferred Skills

  • Full-stack development experience with JavaScript, React.js, TypeScript, GraphQL.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
  • Exposure to Elasticsearch/Solr for search implementations.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
