Coinbase is seeking experienced backend engineers to build the next generation of crypto-forward products and features.

You will:

  • Solve large-scale, highly complex technical challenges
  • Bridge web-scale systems with blockchain infrastructure
  • Build real-time, low-latency, secure cloud systems
  • Support high-frequency financial applications

🎯 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and run growth experiments for retail products
  • Design scalable backend systems using modern cloud technologies
  • Develop long-term architectural strategies for growth infrastructure
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, PMs, and leadership
  • Translate product vision into technical roadmaps
  • Write high-quality, well-tested production code

🛠 Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services
  • Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture
  • Proven ability to write high-quality, well-tested code
  • Passion for open financial systems and blockchain innovation

  • Experience launching products from 0 → 1

Base Salary Range:
$186,065 – $218,900 USD
